Is there still a market or interest in this product?
There is no one currently manufacturing one that I know of!
DeArmond, Fender & Bigsby... gone!

I still have the old Fender one, before knee levers, I use to get some cool WAH---WAH. After I got knee levers on that knee, I just couldn't do the sideways !!! Ever once in a while, I hook it up and just use the volume and it still works good !! A couple of guitar players have tried to talk me out of it, but I guess I keep it for old time sake !!

I have modified all of my V/T pedals to work as "expression pedals" to use with Multi-Effect devices. So that, it works as a normal V/T until you plug into the "third additional jack that changes the "swivel" function to control the selected expression input function.
I think that this additional feature could bring the V/T pedal into the new millennium.

DB,
I just tried out a new "Ernie Ball" stereo
volume/tone pedal this past weekend...I did
not purchase it but it was well built w/components that were equal to current mfgrs
of pot-pedals.It was "pricey" for a pot pedal
It is slightly different than the old Fender and DeArmond's in that the pedal does not articulate left/right for the tone atenuation, rather there is a small tab on the left front/side of the foot pedal piece which you engage with your toe or shoe-sole....just a short left motion that is an inch travel or so. Pretty nice product. It
is in the $250.range. John O'Neill .

I modified my Fender into a 2 input/one output mixer that pans between the two inputs as I make the sideways move. The up and down motion is still volume.I use it to switch or blend between my IVL midi synth rig and my straight steel sound.Even with 3 knee levers on the right knee,I found it pretty easy to manipulate the pedal with a little practice and now it's second nature.I have another Fender V/T pedal which I kept original that I use with my Stringmaster.I love those things. -MJ-

How about an optical version of this pedal with an Expression pedal option.
Get in there with the Goodrich vs. Keith Hiton wars.

What about a three jack, "Heel Toe / Swivel" pedal that can switch functions with a "DIP Switch" between:
1.) Volume / Tone Pedal
2.) Volume / Pan Pedal
3.) Volume / Expression Pedal (Tip-ring or Tip-Ground)
4.) Dual Expression Pedal ( Tip-Ring or Tip-Ground )

Fred wants "5 figures" for the Bigsby Volume/Tone inventory and rights. The number of units that can be built is currently limited to only 96 pieces,( the lowest count of available main " in the rough", cast sub-assemblies ). This product is highly labor intensive to bring to a finished state. The final calculation would bring the list price of the product up above $300!
I believe that this price is much too high for the ( very limited ) market to bear.
I have asked about his intentions to make them
or "job them out" or make them available in "kit" form.
I let you all know what else I find out.

What would you pay for a brand new Volume/Tone (expression)Pedal?
What changes or modifications would you like to see in the design of the Bigsby pedal?

UPDATE: Freds $ Price is "Over The Top"!
I would have to get over $200 per pedal and have orders for more that 100 to make the reissue venture just exceed the investment cost!
