Bobby Garrett passed on this year as well. Very influential to steel guitar, if only for "Rose City Chimes" and the classic solo on Hank Thompson's "Oklahoma Hills"

Jim,
Wade passed away in '98. I used to call him, at least every year on his birthday,to wish him happy b'day. In his later years,he was a "security guard" at the Hall Of Fame Motor Inn,here in Nashville. What a waste of great talent. Every once in a while,he would get up & jam w/ the band, there.I miss him & his playin'.
