I sent Graham some Lap Steel material
consisting of wav/tab featuring Byrd,Helm, and Boot Heel Sounds for E6th and C6th Lap Steel.
You can find it at:
http://users.interlinks.net/rebel/steel/steel.html

Scroll down when you get there. I am in there with Ricky's Licks.

I used Click Tab and Ingo converted to Text for me so that you can down load it wav and all.

Hope it is of help/interest.

Thanks Roy (and Ingo)!

These are great and a big help for us budding lap steelers. Keep 'em coming if you're up for it.

Roy,

What kind of lap steel are you playing on these clips? Sounds great (but I understand that most of it is "in the hands"!)

Hello Bill:

I have a beautifull National 6 string that my son has been using for the last year or so.

The back neck of my D10 Carter is tuned E6th
and I have a way of blocking off 6 strings not only for E6th but also C6th and the Leavitt Tunings. When I do this it is the same as using a lap steel as long as you don't use the pedals, which I don't. Honest!
:-)

I can play all my Country etc on my top E9th neck while my back neck is very flexible for
other things including lap steel arrangements.

So the answer to your question... I used my Carter but only played on 6 strings of the 10.

All the best.

Roy T.
