Just so everyone who responded to my original posting knows, this problem has been resolved. I never did hear back from Morrell, but Jeannie Seymour took control of the situation and corrected it -- no questions asked. I spoke with Bobbe this morning and all's good. It was simply: Let us fix this. I also want everybody who's interested to know that I didn't contact the Seymours originally about this problem, because when I sent the guitar to Morrell instead of them, they no longer had responsibility in my mind, because they did originally offer to have the guitar sent back to them for repair.

Thanks, again, my steel friends, for your support and advice. It feels really nice having people on your side. I hope there's an oppportunity for me to return the favor any time in the future.

Nice going, Al. Nice going, Bobbe and Jeannie. Uh, Morrell? I'd need to see you guys right here on the forum explaining what happened before I'd be thinking about doing business with you.

Glad to hear it Al.

IMHO, life's too short to line the pockets of folks who just "don't get it" no matter how great their products might be.

That's why I make it a point to take my business to the likes of Mellobar, Top Hat amps, etc. Glad to hear that the Seymours deserve mention with these other fine folks.
