I tabbed this out a couple of months ago. Let me just check on it for bugs and I'll post it later today.
Ditto "Make me a Smile" from the first Poco album.

Hi Billy,
yes, I read music, but I like the tab for the steel; maybe it was a crutch at one point, but I always like to have it to refer to on steel. Of course, I like the combination best, which is why I include both when I can.
Keep in mind of course, that the rhythm in the traditional notation is a very rough approximation. Any variance in the notes is just a product of my unexercised dictation skills (I took four semesters of it in college but that was many moons ago!)

| Dan, what program do you use to make the dual tab/notation? And is it automated, i.e., you put in the copedant and then when you mark a string/fret, it inserts the note on the staff? Or...? |

Hi Jim,
I use Sibelius and ,no, it doesn't do it automatically; indeed it is a pain in the keister! If you copy the standard notation and paste it in to the tab staff it tries to put everything on the highest string possible. Plus it does not do pedals/levers. Still, I like the notation end of it and it does throw in the tab staff so ...

I'll try to post it tonight. If not, it won't be until Tuesday as I am heading out of town for a few days tomorrow. It's there, but I'm sure there are some bugs to get out.

Okay,
Here's "Make Me a Smile." This still needs some cosmetic tweaking, and there may still be some serious kinks, but I'll put it up now and wait to hear from you guys as to wheather it seems right or not (I'm too sleepy and without my glasses to tell tonight, so I make no promises.)

Sorry Mark, I've been out of town for a few days.
You should be able to save the "picture" of the tab and then paste it into a Word document (or such) then print.
I think the program I used will let me save it as straight tab, but I haven't tried it yet. I'll try to give it a whirl tomorrow and, if it works, I'll post the straight (more printable) tab tomorrow.
