Just got a 50's Champion, and it sounds awesome. However, the volume and tone controls are not functioning--volume is pretty much on or off, and tone does not vary (it's good though). I opened it up and all parts are there, but the pot model numbers are obscured by solder. I can read the capacitor markings....they read RMO, .05, +80-20, 100V. Does anyone know what the pot specs/part numbers are for this steel? Also a wiring diagram would be good to have.....though I can follow what's there now....Thanks, Rob Segal

Check out the book "Fender, the Inside Story" by Forrest White. He includes several wiring diagrams for Fender steels and I believe, off the top of my head, that the Champion is included.
