Aloha friends,
hope you are all doing well !

Finally some news from my side:
I wasn't able to produce many performance videos last year( I was busy building a house and playing live),apologies for that.
But during my summer vacation I took a steel guitar with me that was tuned to C6 and I looked into all my arrangements whether they would be easy to transfer to the C6 tuning. Surprisingly quite a few of these songs work really nicely in C6 tuning, only a few notes had to be changed. I got many requests if I can offer Tab for C6 tuning and now I am happy to provide 7 arrangements, all of them true to the early Hawaiian Style that I love so much. Happy to connect to all of your C6 players out there and I hope that you will enjoy playing some hip Sol Hoopii lines and/or lush Dick McIntire chords without changing your tuning.
The C6 tuning I am using is the basic 6 string version
low to hi: C E G A C E
Here is the list of the songs:

Coffee In The Morning
Hilo Hanakahi
Lady Be Good
Pretty Red Hibiscus
Sand
South Sea Moon
Sweet Leilani

The other big news is that I
added bundles to my webshop.
These bundles offer a significant
discount compared to the single
arrangements, 50% off.

I hope this more attractive pricepoint
will allow people to buy a bigger collection
of songs that they can enjoy playing.

You can find all my arrangements ( A/G-Tuning, C#Minor and C6)
including the bundles on my website:

Greetings form cold and grey Berlin

Sebastian

Very nice! Love the song choices, I may have to try these out when I get enough time to dig in...I'm a C6 guy for sure. I've tried, and kind of failed, to work out a good "I Like You" in C6 so would be interested if you add that one to the list too!

Greetings from strangely-sunny-for-this-time-of-year Kansas City!

Thank you so much guys, really appreciated.
For now I only focused on the so called
'low hanging fruits' arrangements that worked
immediately without any or only minor changes and
also without changing the key of the song.(only exception was Hilo Hanakahi because that one uses a lot of open strings)
I am sure it will be possible to play 'I like you' in a
similar style as the Sol Hoopii version in C6, I have to look into it, but most probably it needs to be in a different key.

Sebastian,
Thanks again for taking the time to arrange the songs in C6.
You’re a great resource to tap into and have been extremely helpful to me time and time again.
Your backing tracks and tab are spot on!
What a great way to expand the repertoire with a C6 slant…..pardon the bad pun!
I’ll show myself out!
Mahalo 😁🤙

Hey Jim,

I have to think about it,
creating these videos is a lot of work
if you use different camera angels and stuff
and I don't want to add too many duplicates
of the same song on my Youtubechannel.
I am planing to do C6 arrangements including
performance videos in the future, but this will be new songs.

Congratulations! But I hope this doesn't mark the end of you playing in (and creating tabs for) high bass A and C# minor. Although I see the draw of one tuning that can manage both major and minor tunes.

You had been my inspiration to abandon C6.

Haha Lloyd, no way
I will stop playing A Highbass
and C#minor,
the whole repertoire of my Hawaiian
band is based on these tunings and the
arrangements.
But with my Honky Tonk band I decided
to bring a second steel strung to C6
besides my Rickenbacher B6 that is in A or C#minor.

Your tabs and backing tracks are excellent! I enjoy the high bass A tuning as well as C6. Great prices and value on the bundles. Keep up the good work, Sebastian!

Just want to say thank you again for all the kind words and mahalo to everybody who purchased tabs, that keeps me going 😊. I already work on a couple of new arrangements for varying tunings. Glad you like the slower version of the backing tracks Rick, I find them very useful as well, especially if I come back to a song that I didn't played for a longer time.
