Hey everybody. I'm looking to buy or trade for Showcase 41 fingerpicks. Bill Stokes has retired and you can't get any from him anymore.
As long as they aren't mangled, I'm not too picky. I can restore the finish.
Shoot me a PM and we can figure out a deal.
Thanks.

Hi Mike. I've got one pair of new Showcase 41 picks that I bought at the Dallas show in 1999 or 2000. They're still in the original package and have never been shaped. I've got a couple of other pairs that I've used for years and I don't think I'll ever wear them out. Here's pictures. Shoot me a PM and we'll talk about it.

Mike, I'm curious: what makes Showcase 41 picks the winner for you?

I have used Showcase 41 picks for many years. I have tried many picks over the years, Proper fitted, Best picks I have found.

It takes a lot of work to fit a set of picks to my beat up fingers.

All the other picks I have tried have ended up in the "GO Fish Bag".

If some one wants to play my guitar, I put my Showcase 41's in my pocket, Hand them the Go Fish Bag.

So what features and details make them so superior? Mike I don’t know anything about National oval 8 picks, got any pics? I’m a cat. Curiosity will be the death of me! Laughing

Yeah Mike; I've never seen those 1941 pics and I was gunna say: "They look identical to my 'pre-war Nationals"; then you posted side by side....>wow.
(I only put my pre-wars on to record; never take to gigs anymore..they stay in Lock box at ranch house..ah..LOL)

I can't help with the 1941's, but I've been looking at the Bob Perry Signature .025 nickel/silver picks. I've not tried them, but the description is they are patterned after the old Nationals. @ $22 bucks a pair, little pricey, but still worth it if they are what they say they are.

There are a few different models of these in lighter gauges and some in stainless, but the ones I described above appear to be very similar to the old Nats and can be found at www.elderly.com

I think I have enough picks to last me out, but these are a consideration if not...long as they are still available...the way picks go in and out of production, who knows?

Of course. Didn't mean to suggest anything otherwise. Just didn't know if you were aware of those. My bad.

I know how it is when you're used to something you really like a lot. Hope you find some 1941s.
