My favorite gospel group of all time. I regret that I never saw them in person. Jack was a great player.

Tony,
I don't know for sure, but I think it is one and the same.
Look at how many years were between these recordings. The young, and I mean young, Jack Smith was new to steel and had not developed "that" touch.
But listening to the album, I hear a lot of the same characteristics between the early and later recordings.
Just my opinion.

| Thanks for posting these Duane! The best Gospel Group ever! Jack Smith was one the first steel players I ever saw on TV, those same Jubilee shows on Sunday mornings. Been a fan ever since. |
