Why do people remove the C6th neck from their pedal steel guitar? I have never understood why anyone would bugger their guitar that way.

To make them lighter and they don't play C6.

Yes, but someone else could. They should trade it for what they actually want, not vandalise it.

I agree. Why spoil a guitar--and do a lot of work in the process? Just buy an S 10 or SD 10 or SD 12.
