Anyone know who sells the Red Rahja or Black Rahja bar? Also, is there any difference between the colors?

Thanks,

Lenny

Hay Len,
http://www.aguitarcenter.com
from the links page

check out Chuck Brattain... I bought a Black Phoenix, it has some type of powder coating, easy to hold on to but still smooth and slick on the strings. It seems to have a bit less sustain and a bit less twang on the plain strings.
A bit lighter than my BJS I use it for faster bar movement and a slightly more mellow tone.
Of course these are just my opinions.

Len, You can go to "Wanted to Buy" and do a search for Red Rajahs and you'll find a lot of information. But, there was a popular bar from the 50's that was called the Black Rajah. It was from a bakelite material and it was tappered from about 7/8th to 3/4. Don't quote me on these measurements. Then, more recently, Chuck Brattain made a Red Rajah, later redesigned and called the Black Phoenix. The black was a little harder compound. But, as I said, do the search. It's all there.

I havee one of each a regular rajah,
and a tapered phoenix.
I love them both.
Though they are fragile.

In addition to the red and black bars, Chuck also made 2 blue prototypes which he never mass produced. Billy Phelps has one and I have the other. So, beween the Red Rajah, the white Zirk bar, and the blue one I'm all set for a 4th of July gig.
