You could do like I do Earnest. Leave it on there for no more than three months and change it whether it needs it or not. Three gigs a week and clean wipe after each set works for me.

I have it string across the top of the kitchen window and I've used dental floss to hang an array of cockroaches from side to side as a substitute for "chi-chi balls'. Got the idea from Martha Stewart. |

| ...Earnest, hotels don't have 13th floors but you can still get to the 14th floor and all floors above...just skip string 3, go directly from string 2 to string 4...the low B string on an E9 will be the 11th string and you'll still have a 10 string neck... |

Put a light coat of oil on it and then insert tab A into slot B etc. etc. etc.!!!

There are numerous causes that contribute to the premature breakage of the infamous .011 string. To find a way to reduce the stress points, seems to be the utmost goal to achieve success for string endurance. There are several approaches open for experimentation. Not the least of all, the characteristics of the string. Modifications may be in order.
