I started this thread with calculations, but then I thought that was impossible. But you put the number of pedal steel builders to the number of pedal steel players, and the choice of a great pedal steel guitar are everywhere. Try that with a vehicle or just a regular guitar, and the odd's are in the pedal steel players favor. We have BY FAR more choices of quality instruments than any musician. How many of us are there? Not many, think about it. We need to thank all these wonderful and talented professional builders for a gift we under estimate. |

Yes Sir I agree. I have my special builders and My hats off to all of them. They are not going to get rich building them to much time involved. Not going to name any names but thanks to all the builders. |

And much gratitude goes to all the talented folks who restore and rebuild the old vintage Sho~Buds and Emmons guitars. Without these folks we would be losing out on some of the best steel guitars ever built for tone, beauty and precision. Too many to mention, but folks like Leon Roberts, Albert Johnson, Bobbe Seymour, Mike Cass, Ricky Davis, John Coop, Duane Marrs and a few others who really keep these legendary guitars alive. You guys deserve an awful lot of credit. |
