this is getting ugly... we really are short fused around here these days....
I agree with Bruce... I would not put an 8 k pickup on my only guitar, but would on a second guitar,OR I would consider a multi coil tap on my only guitar .. Jerry will wind it at 8 k-14K and 18k... then you can go as fat or bright as you want with 3 different coils..... bob |

This is a good general outline of effective discussion.
When I state what 'I' think, it's all fine until I point it back at 'you', as that's when things get defensive.
Not having to defend a position, more free exchange of ideas is possible.
It does seem to me that where the guitar is picked stands out more than the kind of pickup the guitar is picked on (all things being equal, as they never are).
I like that 'John Steinbeck' sound a lot too, Russ. |
