No question about it. There is no finer steel guitar bar on the planet. Bill makes the best there is, and I have yet to see anything even near equal in quality. |

Hi Everyone,
I'll be at the Nashville Steel Guitar association picking on April 4th. There I will present John Hughey with a new type bar I think is going to be a winner, so I've ordered a lot of stock to cut up and get into production. You will be hearing more about these bars after Mr John Hughey has put his blessings on the bar. I tried it out and it is just right, sounds good too.
When I post the new bar, I would like to get some feed back if anyone may be interested in the bar, so i can gage how many to make of this new style. I will be making them in whatever you guys may want 7/8", 15/16", and the 1" diameters. It will take me a little while to get them out.
Talk to you soon. Email me at bjsbars@frontiernet.net if you think you might want one.
Thanks,
Bill

Hi Leon, good to hear you guys are coming to the NTSGA meeting April 4th, I'll see you there. Tell the other Alabama guys to come up to, love to see them.
Boy you talking about the right feel for a bar, John Hughey will be getting the first one made at the NTSGA next Tuesday. I have ordered stock to produce them because they are going to be the bar that everyone wants, for an extra one to have. I can't wait to add one to my collection, I need three to keep in different seats to have when needed.
See You Tuesday, and be careful traviling.

Keep an eye out on this forum after Tuesday about the weighted bars that will be coming out, what it will amount to is the 1" bar will weight same as the 15/16", the 15/16" will weight same as the 7/8", and the 7/8" bar will be approximately a couple ounces lighter for those that is requesting a lighter 7/8" bar. So I'm doing these by request, and all that is made that way will the same as everyone will get. I'm not going to custom these things different for different players, that would be hard to keep up with different grams not ounces for each person. So keep that in mind when ordering a bar, just put your order in for example: 10 string 7/8" "the lighter bar" with or without the birthstone, same goes for the 15/16" and the 1" bars.
This will be easy for Shirley to take your orders and to keep up with.
There's a lot of guys in NY that's waiting for the 7/8" lighter bar, and they will get them. I have to make a lot of bars to keep the prices down, because of the different process charges, cutting stock, CNC maching, Heat-Treating, Centerless Grinding, Polishing & Buffing, Industrial Hard-Chroming, then my final touch on the bars. If you just make one or two bars, I couldn't afford them, so give me some time to get these done, I am going to try and have them done by the St Louis Convention. A lot of work ahead for me.
Thanks to all for your interest in them, my folder is filling up, so get on the list email me.
Thanks,
Bill PS: These are good for an extra bar to have just to experiment with, fun to have to practice with. |

Bobby Lee, are you sure you don't need a new bar?
It's yours for the asking.

Bob.. take Bill up on his offer.. I just got my first BJS bar in the mail .. It plays smooth as silk.. With my old bar I used to have to press a little to prevent the inside string from ringing..with the BJS I don't need to..
Needless to say i'm very satisfied with this purchase .

Bill's bars are the best!!!
I have been using & selling his bars for over 20 years. My original 7/8" birthstone bar is over 25 years old & is just as good as new.
When customers are doubtful, I show them this original bar of mine, & then let them hear it compared to others.
I keep it in my pick pouch as a back up, as I am mostly using the 15/16" model now.
BTW, I carry all the BJS plain models along with all the Birthstone models 7/8" & 15/16" diameters in both 10 & 12 string lengths.
Love your bars, Bill!

Thanks Gary Glisson for using the BJS Bar I still use the first bar that was made after perfecting the way I wanted it to be, no wear on it.
Yes Al Brisco have sold and supported my efforts in making these bars for many years, and a great big thanks to you and many of the dealers that have supported me.
I want to thank all the professional players that have supported these bars, and even the beginners, and to all of you thank you.
The way some of you support me is why I can't quit the business supply and demand keeps the machines going, so as long as the good Lord keeps me in good health I'll be continuing making these bars.
God Bless ,
Bill |

Leon, the bars are on the CNC turning lathe and from there going to heat treating, but there's a lot more work going into them from there, so everybody hang on they are in the works.
