This preamp is only 6 months old, used only in the music room and includes an Octal sounding tube. $145 plus shipping. (The settings on the amp really sound nice on steel guitar.)

Dennis, I've never used it in a rack, but it's large
enough to take two spaces.

Tim and Dennis, I put a long-plate 12AT7WA tube in
the unit. It does warm the tone more than the 12AX7.

These are really good amps for steel. I used mine as my main amp for about 2 years. Made my own rack mount plate out of Lexan. I am using a Stereo Steel now and have retired mine as a back-up amp. It is small and weighs less than 6 LB. It goes to every show in my gig bag. This is a great price. If I didn't already have one, I would jump on this. Some body should
grab this as a back-up amp, if nothing else. It will play very loud, if needed and has features very few amps have and enough EQ to make it sound about anyway you want it to. Ron Hogan has a sound clip on the forum if you would like to hear what it sounds !ike.
