'Been listening to the great reissue CD set of Erroll Garner's classic 'Concert by the Sea' that features an amazing impressionistic version of Autumn Leaves. I didn't directly lift anything but Garner inspired me to give the tune another go in 6-string C6th.

Thanks for this Andy. Your efforts are appreciated. For all aspiring jazz players Autumn Leaves is an important piece to learn. In its form it covers all the changes within its key and is an almost perfect cycle of 5ths. It is also just a great tune!

Thanks, Mike. The tab should be considered just a basic scaffold. There's so much more you can do with the tune. The F#m to B7 change, in particular, can take all kinds of altered musical tension before resolving to Em.

That's a key moment(pardon the pun). Within the constraints of conventional wisdom you Would have normally played a Bmin7......By playing the B7 you are shifting the emphasis from the Gmaj key to the Emin Key. And in the chords F#,B7 and Emin you have a classic minor II-V-I progression....!
