Very Happy This was my idea of promoting the HSGA quite a few years ago when postage was $.46

I don't have any idea if it ever did any good.

Hi Ron,
Yes, I did mail a lot of letters with this stamp. They are completely legal. The Zazzle company has an arrangement with the U S Postal Service. Of course, they cost a few more cents than $.46 at the time. I also had others made for our wedding announcements featuring “IZ” and some featuring the Marine Corps. I still have a few left. I’ll e mail you a photo of some of them.
Nice to hear from you.

My mistake. I never knew stamps could be printed by anyone else.

Too bad currency can't be printed also We have a bunch of Monopoly money around but nobody will take it.

Thanks, Ron.
I understand your predicament with your money. I ,-too, have millions of dollars since I collected dozens of Monopoly sets over the last 50+ years.
And Larry, thanks for your comment. It was a lot of fun putting those stamps together.

The lap almost looks like it could be mine. Who knows, it has been around for over 5 decades...

Nice stamps.

Very Happy Thanks Mark & Terry. The guitar belongs to me. I purchased it new in 1958. It's 59 years old and it is still mint.[img]
Photo was taken in 2016.
Case is mint, also. My companion amp is a tweed Fender Vibrolux. Very good combination.
I liked the stamps and thought it was a good idea, too, but I don't know if anyone even/ever noticed or acknowledged them until now. I had them made at www.zazzle.com

Smile Back at you, Terry.
It just dawned on me that you are in Greensboro, NC. The city name is familiar to me but I don't exactly remember where it is. I lived in New Bern NC while I was stationed at the MCAS Cherry Point NC in 1949-50. Are you familiar with New Bern and Cherry Point? In fact, my wife and I were married at St Paul in New Bern.. Small world

Wally, Greensboro is in the middle of NC. I live there, play music & make my line of lap steels from there. I love the custom stamp idea. I may just do that myself.

The HSGA is the Hawaiian Steel Guitar Association. You should be able to get the website by using www.HSGA.org
Newsletters, conventions etc.
