Well I tried but I never got the hang of playing the dobro. Consequently I’ve decided to sell everything and buy a new 8 string Rukavina lap steel. I think what bugged me the most was trying to get minors and 7th’s. This would be a great starter kit for someone who wants to try the dobro as well as an upgrade to your existing guitar. This is a square neck resonator that was set up by Paul Beard dated Oct. of 2000. A Fishman pickup was installed at the same time. The guitar plays great and sounds good. There a few minor dings when the guitar fell off the guitar stand at a gig. If you want I can send you pictures of any damages. Included with this guitar is the Jerry Douglas Aura pedal by Fishman (with two power supplies), a strap, and a Scheerhorn bar and capo. I’m including some instructional material as well since I won’t be needing them anymore. Just because I didn’t learn much from them doesn’t mean they aren’t any good. Also there is a dvd about maintaining your guitar that I found helpful. I’m asking $850 for this and will be glad to answer any questions that you might have.

Great package Jim to get someone on the path to becoming a dobro player!
One comment - Paul couldn't have set it up for you in 2000. I think these guitars hit the market around 2004.

| You may be right.I'm not sure when I bought it but the sticker inside says setup by Paul Beard Oct.9 00. After closer inspection 00 might be 08. Sorry for the confusion. |
