Lap Steel Club?

I'm fairly new to the lap steel, but I've been playing ukulele for about 6 years. I know there are hundreds, if not thousands, of ukulele clubs, but I've never heard of or seen a lap steel club. If I'm wrong about that, please let me know of any clubs you know of in the San Francisco Bay Area.
I'm interested in getting together with others who play lap steel. I found lots of help in my ukulele club, and I imagine a group of lap steel players could help each other to become better players.
So, is anyone in the San Francisco Bay Area (I'm in San Jose) interested in getting together for a lap steel group/club/organization/gathering?

Two clubs come to mind.

Aloha International Steel Guitar Club, and Hawaiian Steel Guitar Association.

Thanks for that information. I am also interested in any club local to the San Francisco Bay Area that currently exists, or if there are any lap steel players that would like to start a local club. Any interest?
