This one is ready to go. I repaired it for Martin. One of the battery connectors was bad. Replaced it and checked it out. Dobro emulator sounds exactly like mine.

I'm surprised this hasn't been sold. It is the original model, without the tone control when not in the dobro mode. Someone added a Power "on/off" switch, as I've described on the forum how I added one to mine.

The original model is essentially an Op-Amp "Matchbox/Lil Izzy" when its not in the dobro mode.

Tony--the MatchBro benefits from some tone and sustain killing of the plastic bar that came with it or another bar with less mass & smoothness. However I do not consider it essential. It is a powerful effect. You probably already know that you will not convince somebody that it is Jerry Douglas with a mic on his Beard but it is a good simulation of a resonator thru a PA. Put it this way--switch it on and people will turn their heads and look around for who just came up on the bandstand.
