I have seen a few clips of the late Chris Ivey on here. I was suprised that he had passed away and was always fond of some of his witty answers to forumites on here. Is there more about Chris someone could mention ?? Here he is with Albert Lee....Chris sounds fabulous Very Happy

Chris came off like a bit of a rough and tough guy who spoke his mind but I had some correspondence with him about a year before he passed, he was a good guy with alot of love for steel. I was a regular contributor here on the forum, he never boasted about himself but you could tell he knew his stuff with the level of wittiness he had. I miss reading his across the grain commentaries. RIP

I too, years ago, had some off line with Chris. I came to appreciate and treasure our chats.

Although I never met Chris, he was a decent human. Comical in a dry sense and was all about progressing the instrument. Always loved reading his posts.

Sometimes, people who are ill can come off a bit short. I contribute that to his non persona grata.

I had a nice personal message from Chris at a point when I was getting some flak for something I'd posted. He agreed with my point of view and I certainly appreciated the support. My feeling is that, although I didn't know him personally, there was much more to him than met the eye.

Chris and I corresponded about health issues a few years back. He was a great guy and quite the character.
