Looking to buy or trade from a choice of my 6 string electric guitars for a DEERING ERA GOLDEN BANJO in good condition in $1700 range.
Minor blemishes not a problem. I need just a solid, dependable playing banjo.
Thanks, stevet |

For that money you should look at the recording king upper end banjos, I’ve started several students with RK-35 and the playability and tone is amazing for the money. If you haven’t yet look on the banjo hangout forum, enough banjos for sale to push Bob over the edge...hee hee _________________ Old Emmons D-10's & Wrap Resound 65, Standel amps!

No offence, but it would take at least another K to buy my Golden Era, probably more. Good luck thought.

Steve,
There is a nice one on Banjo Hangout for 2250.00.
It looks to be in very good condition and has Schaller d-tuners and spikes installed.
It would be hard to replace mine as it is a Lefty and is made from the black forest walnut. Also it has Earl's Signature.
good luck,
Lefty |

Thank a lot for the tip, Lefty; I will check out the one you mentioned on Banjohagout.
Lefty, yours being left-handed with the Earl Scruggs signature would be worth more. I'm just looking for a dependable, not too expensive Deering Golden Era that is not necessarily in perfect cosmetic condition. .
