I just bought Charley's new album ( Music in My Heart ) and it is just great. This may not be the right forum section for this post but there is a lot of really nice steel playing on the album so it sort of fits here. Does anyone know who did the steel?
If you haven't heard this by all means get it, you won't be disappointed. There's not a bad cut on it. Charley Pride is 79 years old and he sings as well or better on this album as he ever has in his career. Not too many singers age this well. Remarkable.

Yes, Charley Pride is a gentleman, and 100% class act. Charley is still out there getting it done. He's awesome.

Charley Pride with his wife Rozene (married in 1956), and Rolene Brumley.

Gotta mention Ronnie Miller, playing pedal steel guitar with Charley for 25 years!

I wondered about Ronnie Miller but the tone seems a little different than his previous work. Anyways, it's great stuff and I had to sit down and play along immediately.

I'll have to check but the CD that Ronnie and Ginger sent me lists Robby Turner as the steel player.
