Hello to everyone.
Is there any of you that use the Fender Custom Twin with the 1-15" speaker?
I've been a Fender fan forever.
I've always used a stock Twin Reverb with my Tele's and love that tube tone.
Anyone that uses one currently or any of you that have moved onto another unit, can y'all
please share your thoughts on this amp for a PSG amp,be it positive or negative.
I currently play through a Lg.cabinet Evans 500 LV FET Custom with a 15" JBL 130 speaker.
I would very much appreciate everyone's input.
Thank You Very Much
Sincerely,
Jeff Donnell _________________ Custom Don Rich Silver Sparkle White Binding Tele

If you are talking about a new one at $1500+ save your money and buy an old silverface Twin Reverb and install a 15" baffle. I see old Twins for $600 - $700 on Craigslist all the time. |

I was tempted to buy one for a while. You can find used ones on Reverb.com for under 1,000.
I saw Dale Watson play and his steel player used them with his Shobud. I can confirm from standing out with the audience his tone was incredible and was the main reason I was interested in one. I settled on a Showman Amp and a 2x12 cab. Fender is the best amp for steel imo. |

If you want a Fender amp with a 15" speaker, look for a Vibrasonic Reverb. It is basically a Twin with a 15" speaker. |

Has one, great at lower volumes, but no headroom. Tried "harder" tubes, tone went south. For recording or bedroom amp, it's fine. |
