I have a Mullen G2 and wanted to know if it's possible to add the Franklin change on pedal 4 without removing the A's to B' raises on the C6 neck. |

thats 5 pulls on a single pedal. Can you do it, ? Sure, will you like it ? probably not , it will be stiff as concrete. _________________ Emmons L-II , Fender Telecasters, B-Benders

I believe the 4th pedal cross shafts go all the way across the body, so you'd just need the 3 pull trains.
It will be a little bit stiffer, of course but I think the Mullen will handle them just fine and it would still be a fairly playable change.
If you are already lowering 6 a whole tone on the E9th, you could just leave it there provided the lever works ok in conjunction with the 4th pedal. That would make the pedal a little less stiff.
I would check with Del or Mike at Mullen if you have any concerns about it.
FWIW, I put the Franklin change on my 8th pedal, but I'm lowering strings 8 & 9 on the C neck. I had it on my MCI, Zum and my 3 Mullen PRP guitars. No problem with all those pulls. |

I had it that way on my MSA Legend. Not a problem. Check you pull train and remove or adjust some return springs if need be to make the pull a bit easier. |

Ron is asking about 5 pulls, not 3. Yes it's possible, but 5 pulls at the same time is quite the number !
Removing the two C6th / A pulls makes it much more logical. _________________ Emmons L-II , Fender Telecasters, B-Benders

Guys,
Since I'm not a C6 player I'm leaning toward moving the C6 pull trains over to the 5 & 6 string on the E9 then purchasing one more train for the 10 string. That way I can return the guitar back to original setup if needed. What you think. |

That'll work if you don't need the pulls on C6, sure. Great idea, in fact.
FWIW Tony, I was talking about 5 pulls above. 2 existing on the C neck and adding 3 on the front. |

yes ,not so uncommon, removing the two A pulls on the C6th and using them along with an additional pull for the 5,6 and 10 drop on E9. _________________ Emmons L-II , Fender Telecasters, B-Benders

I have a G2 and I have done it. So here's my take. With all 5 pulls, I thought the pedal was too stiff for my tastes. My solution, forget the 10th string lower. Keep the A pulls on the back neck, and drop 5 and 6 on the front. Makes the pedal feel way better as far as I am concerned. _________________ Charlie Powell |
