Definitely THE END.

I'm thinking TWO new beginnings. Unless someone can suggest a way to fix this nearly new George-L's cable. Else it's going to become twins.

the first thing I would do is pull the plastic caps back and make sure the knurled ends are real tight if still no good I'd cut 1\4 in of cable off behind the coating. this cut off has to be straight and clean then push it in hole make sure to bottom and the little pin is pushed into wire of cable bend a sharp 90 degree uot slot and tighten knurled cap real tight then try out if that doesn't work do the same with the other end. I have found using pliers lightly to make sure these are tight and don't work loose works best for me as I am getting older and weaker Hope this helps

I think he is talking about the gouge in the cable.

Dan, how many times have I told you to quit munching on your cords.. Laughing

Cut it clean, strip, slide 2-3 e different sizes of heat-shrink tubing (that fit neatly over each other) on one side, solder things back together with the wires twisted while pointing towards each other (with little slack), slide the heat shrink over the repair and heat it.

Done. I've repaired them for others like this. Unless it's a stage cable for a player that tends to leap all over the stage it works fine.
