Single neck Sho Bud permanent or Marlen pull release

Looking for a single neck guitar for flying. I've been so happy with my old pull release Marlen though, I'd hate to go to a modern guitar. Also would like to stay within the ballpark of my Marlen's wide string spacing.

Open to ideas about other unique guitars with older mechanisms and a cool sound.
