Before the NRA, there was the NAR (the National Artillery Relatives).
It never quite caught on.

The "brass-y" lassies at "Big Belles' Big Shells" celebrate a huge government ammunition contract to arm USN battleships. They almost didn't get the contract due to an embarrassing situation in front of top Admirals and government officials at the acceptance trials. All three suffer from "Turret's Syndrome" - a rare medical disorder that causes the sufferer to blurt out obscenities anytime a main gun is fired.

During the war years, suppositories were in the beginning stages of development.
This is run #4. Still a ways to go.

"We can't resist oysters on the half-shell!"
Damir told me his sisters were 'drop-dead gorgeous'.
Their party wouldn't last, 'cause we really had a blast!

Who remembers the Starland Vocal Band?

"Skyrockets in flight, afternoon delight!" - there's even a pedal steel in the video...

I remember that band. The bandleader was originally from Springfield, Mass. The song "Afternoon Delight" had a nice pedal steel w/phase shifter. That live version on YouTube doesn't even come close to the studio version IMO.
