My "A" pedal fell off this evening. Missing a screw and the other came loose. Need to find out where to get a replacement machine screw. Talking about the little ones that go from the frame into the box that the pedal pivots inside. Guess I got a screw loose...Lashley LeGrande II. So far I have not been able to find a parts list for the instrument online, although I thought I saw one out there before, can't find it now. Taking a screw off some other place would be a last resort, would probably result in some other part falling off later.

The obvious (to me, anyway) and slightly cumbersome answer is to take the guitar to the hardware store (or just the pedal bar if I read it right).

Without knowing what exactly you're describing--you did refer to the missing screw as "one of the little ones...etc.". If there are other ones like it, wouldn't it be possible to take off one of the others temporarily only and take that to the hardware store to find a match, instead of taking the whole guitar or the pedal bar to the store?

They are 8-32 x 1/4" oval head machine screws. Nothing special.

Thanks! That was not really enough information to go on. Sorry about that. I live 30 miles or so from the nearest hardware store with any selection of fasteners so was trying to find out ahead of time. And yes, I was planning on taking one of the other screws with me to match it. Here's a photo just for giggles.

Thanks everyone, had to use a hacksaw to shorten the not-exactly the same fastener but it is working. Bought the thread lock but haven't used it yet. Question about thread lock- is it like crazy glue where it goes downhill rapidly after you open the tube or does the thread lock stay usable for a few years? Cheapskate afraid to open the tube here.

No wonder I was having such a hard time getting the "A+B" depressed cleanly! The darn thing was wiggling off the frame. Tex plays much more easily now.
