I was wondering if anyone has tried the Myers Pickup? There are two models, "The Grip" and "The Feather". I have an 8 string Goldtone Squareneck Dobro that I want to start gigging more with and this looks like a good option. If anyone has any experience with these pickups, which one is the better of the two?

I have the grip, which I use on my Adams dobro. I don't play it professionally, but I've used it at a few jam sessions. I replaced the suction cup with velcro, with the matching velcro on the tailpiece of the Adams. The suction cup actually worked, but the velcro is a bit more secure. I tie the cord to the strap. I also use a preamp, as the signal isn't very strong. It sounds quite good to my ear. It will feedback, but for acoustic music in small venues, that hasn't been a problem. The nicest thing about it is that it can be easily transfered to another instrument. I also have used it with a mandolin.
