I have a 74 twin I would like to sell. Its been modded by Bob Metzger for steel. Basically channel 1 is now a steel specific input, and it does sound amazing for steel. I can ask Bob for specifics on what he did, but its pretty magic. Channel 2 I believe is blackfaced, but I'm not 100% sure. It sounds like a twin and is great for guitar. There is Reverb and Vibrato in both channels now, and the amp is super quiet. It has new tubes in it and is an exceptional amp for someone who wants incredible tone and power. It sits in a Rick Johnson cabinet, and the speakers are in the original Twin Reverb cabinet. At this point I am offering the head only for sale, as I really dont want to ship the speaker cabinet. If you are local and want to buy the whole amp that would be great. I'd like to get $700 for the head PLUS shipping. This is an ideal amp for someone who plays both steel and guitar on the same gig as there are 2 specific channels each modded for best tone from the instrument. Feel free to hit me up with questions on the amp. I'd love to keep it but its just not getting the use it deserves.
thanks !
