I just had my Session 500 totally rebuilt with all new capacitors I liked them so much. Should be good for another 30 years. All the ins and outs on the back panel are a must for me. My other favorite amp is a Peavy Artist 240 that has a discrete transistor preamp stage just like the old Session 400's but a tube power amp stage rated at 130 watts rms. It is the same physical size of a Nashville 400 only 40 lbs. heavier. I have to put a microphone on it for recording bevause it has no output jacks.
Those early Peavy amps also had a Fender EQ circuit is why players find them so easy to dial in. A lot of players don't understand how parametric equalization works and why some hate the Session 500 but it is extremely flexible and those big 15" cabinets give it plenty of low end.
