Even with some physical problems, I braved the trip and went anyhow. Where was that, you say?? The July Super Steel Show in Branson, MO. I was not disappointed, and was so happy to see such a good crowd! You could tell the steel pickers prepared themselves for the task of pleasing the audience! The band was ready for any tune the steel pickers might play! Terry Bethel lined up a tremendous group of steel players! There was a lot of hard work that went into that show, hard work before it started and hard work during the show. Charlie Steichen and his crew worked tirelessly all through the show making sure everyone was seated and comfortable! The floor arrangement of the seating was appreciated by most of those who attended. A lot of people talked about the next show and seemed to be making plans to attend, the March show and again, the July show. I hope everyone made it home safe without any car trouble or any wrecks! A big thank you to Gene Crain and Gayla for conducting the church service. I'm sure their love for the Lord Jesus Christ was exemplified by each song and spoken word! I'm sure glad for the people who invented the Pedal Steel Guitar!! And thank you, everyone, for the wonderful welcome you gave us. It warmed our hearts!!
