this is a Bill Lawrence L710, DCR is 26.6, has alnico polepieces, long leads, narrow mount.
Would like to trade it for one of the following Bill Lawrence pickups: first choice is a BL 805, second a chrome BL 705, or an earlier 710 with stainless steel polepieces.
...My understanding is that the earlier 710 models had stainless steel poles giving a more aggressive sound, but Bill switched to exclusively alnico poles on his steel guitar pickups for a sweeter sound. I'll be using this in an experimental steel guitar played mostly with distortion so I think the more aggressive stainless steel poled pickup would be better for me. The 805 and 705 of course use stainless steel blades.
Please let me know if you'd like to make a trade. I'd also consider selling the 710 if you have nothing to trade. Thanks!
