Sweet steel mixed hot, played on an old Emmons through a Milkman amp . . . by a young woman . . . in Brooklyn!
I like the fills & solos on a couple of tracks toward the bottom: "Just A Little Heartbreak" & "Around The Bend", but they're all nice.

I listen to their band CDs, watched their videos, and the steel player, Elana's playing was simple, and her tone from the videos, give a watch & you'll hear what I'm talking about, very, very cool to my ears.
She plays a single Emmons. |

She meshes with the band & gives 'em soul. Her licks sound huge . . . maybe because they're simple? Good tone doesn't hurt, either. |

I listened to most of the stuff on the link to soundcloud, and I like it. Very well played and put together.
It reminds me of what we used to call cowpunk back when I was younger.
Way to go girls, keep it up! |
