This listing is for an extremely rare Sho~Bud LDG D10 Pedal Steel Guitar, Original Sho~Bud Hard Shell Case, a Leg / Rod Bag & Fine Tuning Key.
The LDG is one of the best models Sho~Bud ever made and this is an incredibly rare & unique example. The guitar was made in '79 as a stock SD10 LDG and was sent back to Sho~Bud in the 1980s to be converted to a D10. The guitar looks absolutely beautiful and you will not find another one like this. The back neck is intended to played in a Hawaiian style and can be tuned however you like (E13, C6, C13, A6) etc...it is currently tuned to C6. I suppose if you aren't into the Hawaiian thing you could remove the back neck and have yourself a beautiful LDG, not to mention around $800 of extra parts. I'd just as soon leave it like it is, it's so cool!
Cosmetically the guitar is in very good to excellent condition. The finish is extremely rich and the aluminum is still holding a great polish. There are a few scratches here and there but nothing major to mention. You will see holes on the undercarriage from where the pad used to be.
Mechanically the guitar is 100%. The set up is 3x4 standard Emmons E9 (Es on left) w/ RKL F#s + 1/2 & RKR D#-1 and D-1/2. It is set up and ready to take on a gig!
This is an excellent example of a great guitar so don't miss out!!!

Pretty cool actually.. Looks to me as though they used Maverick fingers just as "string holders"... Very nice guitar, and it will surely be the only one on the block.... bob

| Ditto above. Sure seems like it was not played a lot, even after the owner set up a rear neck. Wonder why the 'straight C6' instead of a changer/whole enchilada rear neck and pedals? Musta been the players musical preferences. Wish we could see whatever "work" order papers that went into this reconfigure. A historical outcome, still pristine today. |

Apparently the original owner wanted a back neck w/ no pedals because he didn't know how to play and someone had told him that learning the Hawaiian style first would be a good starting point to learn the instrument. Shortly after the modification was done he gave up and the guitar went back in the case, this would have been around the mid 80s & for the most part it has been there ever since.
