Welcome! Don't know what part of Texas you're in, but there are some fine players there. Get out to see and pick their brains when you can. I'm sure they'll be glad to accommodate you.

Well I am 62 and been playing guitar for 49 of those years.
I do a lot of mods on cheap guitars, like Squier Stratocasters and such, the occasional Telecaster, etc....
I bought the Rouge steel from a friend with 2 amps, one being a Peavey Session 400 Limited with a 15" Black Widow speaker.
Right now I am in the middle of Modding the Rogue with good parts and just using its body for a base to redo everything.
I will post some pix as it goes along.

Welcome to the forum, Mark. If you follow Andy's suggestion and search specific topics, you'll find that what's down the rabbit hole is a goldmine. And this is the most generous bunch of players you could find. Have fun.

Here is the preliminary stage (raw) of the Hickory fretboard for the mod. It is 3/4" thick. It is a piece of hardwood flooring left over from our recent remodel.
