Well guys it's been a long run but she is finally finished. I am very happy with the turn out. The appearance is incredible and the tone and playability is everything I hoped for.
This could not have been done without the help of many friends who never failed to call and write with great advise and answers to my questions.

To me wood necks seem to have a cleaner string separation vs metal necks.

Kudos to you for doing an outstanding job on your very first restoration project. The guitar looks and sounds terrific!
I know from personal experience that there is something special about those wood neck PP guitars with the bolt-on tail pieces.
Good luck on your next one... and the one after that!

First of all, thank you for your comments.
My future plans don't really include doing P/P restos for clients as I am pretty busy building amps. I want to finish up #2 that I started then I will keep my favorite P/P and sell the other. As you may have seen they are both 1973 guitars but one is a bolt-on wood neck while the other is a split-tail metal neck guitar. They will both be lacquer and both will have old chrome 705s (500 worth!)... So we will see where this leads. Right now it's still fun

Mike it sure looks like you have a new career should you want it... BTW, I have 4 original 705’s on my Mullen... what a great pickup
