I was just reading the review of new strings in the most recent Guitar Player and was wondering if any PSG string maker is utilizing any of the new technology for strings (as in the EB Paradigm strings) for PSG sets. (Any PSG strings with the coating?)
If some of the 6-string guitar strings using the new technologies were available in singles, could they not be used on PSG? Not sure I fully grasp the difference in windings for 6-string strings and PSG strings.
thanks for your comments

GHS has cryogenic strings for Pedal Steel (I think the forum sells them).

I asked Ernie Ball when they came out with their Paradigm strings and their response was NO for Pedal Steel strings. They said in "read between the lines" they are concentrating on what would sell most and Pedal Steel strings are not on that list.

Not all the needed gauges are available in for example the EB Paradigm strings for Pedal Steel, especially the C6th strings.

Eventually I suspect string manufacturers will.
