Back in March I got a Mullen Discovery from a fellow forumite and really loved the sound of the guitar at first. But somehow it has a bad hum which has started up lately. Didn't notice it at first, but have since tried several amps, but none have solved the problem. Any ideas? Thanks for any help.

Try going direct to the amp ..no pedal, no effects.. try a few cords, if necessary. If it just started doing it, have you moved the guitar? If it's a single coil pup, turn the guitar 90*...try a different circuit in your house..good luck!

Dave just gave you trouble shooting 101. The perfect way to go. Some folks immediately look at the guitar when it's the most common thread. Cords, pedals, the order of connections, etc...so many things can multiply noise especially if your Mullen has single coils. This way you can track it down. Who knows, maybe it is the guitar, maybe it's something much simpler.

Have you either changed rooms, or changed lighting? If it ain't the cables (prime culprit) or ground loop with a plug-in effects unit (secondary culprit), I'm betting EMI from something nearby.
Those three account for over 95 percent of all hum.
