I have a blackbeard dobro that I use on stage. I want to expand and play a lap steel on stage. Can I use the fishman acoustic amp with the Rouge lap steel or will this destroy my fishman? Can I use a DI box to get around any issues with the lap steel.
thanks,

Won't hurt the Fishman or the steel. Will predictably sound like s**t.
You want a little tube amp like a champ. HiFi on a lap steel is nasty. |

Acoustic amps are glorified mini-PA systems usually. They're not really voiced for electric guitars. You can use it, and it will technically work, but not ideal. Small tube amp is the way to go, and then just mic it. |

I have a Fender blues Jr. That I use for dobro. I think it sounds good. And it obviously works for electric as well. |
