Learning from tab or a teach is just one of many options to get the job done. But the bottom line, of which, you can’t read on paper and must accomplished on your own, are the following. Tone, touch, taste and intonation. This 22 year old known as Mathew who has been on C6th now for just a couple of months, has that ambition to tear it up. I have shown Mathew some basic C6th chord grips, so he knows multiple positions to find I IV & V in addition to a few “off” chords. I’m confident he’ll soon be showing me how to improve, and I sure needs Smile it….

That was so good! Lots more of him on YouTube. A real inspiration to see a such a young talented musician choose the pedal steel guitar.
Keep an eye on this guy, I think he will go far in the music world for sure.

Question. Where's he from? I thought I read that he was on the opposite side of the ocean. No problem, I am just curious.

Danny, over the pond, indeed! The Netherlands is where Mathew resides..And BTW, he reads and writes English much better than your average hillbilly. I'm slightly below average, and a hillbilly, but, smart enough to know when to cease his pedal steel guidance. I told him there is nothing worse than a dumb musician; he best show me his college exam results before we continue on. Mathew is such a smart dude and has proven so with an excellent GPA.

Gary, I need you to take me Under YOUR Wing... Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy, at least until Mathew will take me... LOL

Mathew is such a great young man... Not only is he smart and has talent I can only wish I had, but he’s also well mannered, humble and respectful... the kinda kid we all want to adopt... Other younguns take note, this is what we need more of.
