Strings on my new (to me) keyless are new but, when change time comes, how is the best way to put the new ones on without overtuning? Do you use a tuner to prevent overtuning, or put them on one at a time and listen closely? I know,to install flat so there is room to tune.

Thanks, Bill

What make of guitar is the keyless? I remove all the strings on my Williams keyless and give the fret board a good cleaning and lube the rollers. I also bring the block about ¼ inch from the rollers and then attach the string. If you have the 600/700 changer on a Williams, watch for the tail of the string so it doesn't catch on the hole that goes thru it. I always tune one fret low and play about 10 minutes to stretch the strings first avoiding popping one. Then I bring up to final tuning.
TEHO.

I have an S12(Lamar) with this type head on it. I also like to take all strings off to clean, lube and check everything. My concern is over tension with no way to compensate.
