Mine measures 5/16".

5/16" too (measured between the fretboard and the bottom of the the strings). Wish the strings were a little higher though. Seems to be a common complaint about the Stringmasters.

Thanks. That's the same as my National D8. I thought it would be a bit higher than that. I find the N-d8 strings too close to FB as the pick ends tap against it while playing. very annoying. I havent heard of any complaints from Stringmaster players about that.
My pedal steel is about 1/2" off FB. I tried grinding down a separate set of picks to shorten which helped, but I'd rather use the same picks for both pedal and non and not have to adjust to a different 'feel'. I assume all Stringmasters would be the same.

Well... I guess there are complaints then. Just another 1/8" might make a big difference.
