I attended a Vince Gill concert last night and got to meet Paul Franklin. Vince covered "Together Again" and when Paul played the steel behind it, man I was in awe. Afterward, I was able to talk with him and pick his brain about playing the steel. Down in South Ga, we don't get that kind of opportunity often. Paul is a great guy and kind too.

Pretty neat experience for you, Joshua! Congrats, and nice pictures too.

Looks like Glenn Worf on bass?

An awesome experience for you, no doubt. One day I would love to meet Paul Franklin also. I try to copy some of his licks and runs, but for some reason, I just don't sound anything like Paul Franklin, hehe.

You won't find a nicer guy or a better musician.

I play non-pedal A6. He told me he started out on non-pedal and used many of the nuances from it in his pedal steel playing. I watched him do bar slants and everything while he played. I would have loved to have stood over his shoulder, but I did what I could.

I just bought Paul's & Vince's album "Bakersfield". Well worth it. If you don't have it, get it !
