Sad I'm really surprised that no one knows anything about this song. It is listed in one of Millie Annis's JB Fan Club
Newsletters in the early 60s. I have a large collection of JBs LPs but I only collected a couple 45s. And "Portrait of Peggy" wasn't one of them.

I've never heard of the song and I've got a lot of Byrd LPs and singles.

What's your best evidence that it was in fact recorded?

What's your best evidence that it was in fact released if recorded?

Anything more than a mention in a newsletter?

It's not listed in any of the JB discographies on line, and a Google search of that title comes up empty. The closest thing is an album called "A Portrait of Peggy Lee". I'm guessing that it's not a JB instrumental, but one of thousands of songs that Jerry Byrd played backup on when he was a Nashville session player in the 1950s and 60s.
