I've been using this beautiful ceramic bar that I bought at a steel show years ago. I don't remember who made it, but it had a wonderful tone. Yesterday I dropped it and it broke. Anyone know where I can get another like it?

This is a 1" ceramic bar in a bag labeled Paloma Stone Slides.
Will this work for you? It dark cobalt blue.

I never weighed or measured it. I think it was 15/16" diameter - that's what it felt like. Maybe the inner cavity with little metal balls was what gave it its unique tone.
I just now ordered one of the Paloma bars, but I'd still like to find out who made the one that I broke.

Yes, I have one. It's not the same. I used the ceramic bar for rock. It had the right tone and the right feel in my hand.

I have the Paloma bar pictured. With it, the steel sort of sounds like a Dobro to my ears, due to it being feather-light.
I've been debating trying to drill a hole in it & adding shot, I just haven't got that far yet.

This bar has little resonance, no sustain...acceptable for rock I suppose.
I tried it once and put it back in the sack.

I already have a good glass bar. I use it when I want to sound more acoustic.
The ceramic's sustain was closer to steel than glass. It sounded more like a bottleneck electric, good for blues and rock. It had a darker tone which worked better with distortion than the bright steel or zirconia bars.
