At the club I was asked by a young Guitar/Steel player if I had any playing examples "Out Of The Box"....

I found this obscure recording that I never released.

So Good or Bad...This is one of my non-traditional originals with a classical overtone.

I have always loved the lower register string sounds. What a composition !! Thanks for sharing. I'm not sure I really Know how to define "out of the box". This sure was refreshing to hear.

That actually made the pain of my Hernia surgery go away for a few minutes.

Thanks Paul

Is that double tracked? If not, huge WOW! Even if so, still WOW!

Did your Dad actually build a 3 neck pedal steel? I'd seen pix of Johnny Cox's Zum 3-neck, never a Franklin, but there it is on this youtube link. Can't imagine the weight of that...

While checking out Mr. Franklin's video, and being stunned by his amazing talent, I noticed another video about his new PF 350 Eminence speaker . .

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9sFVbgU3TqE

I played a gig last night and was just thinking about how dis-satisfied I was about my amp tone, despite all my tweaking. This just may be the ticket. Got one on the way! Thank you sir . . Smile

Always a wonderful listening experience, thanks Paul . Puts me in mind of Bela Fleck's Perpetual Motion album.
