I'm looking for the following items. I've searched the internet & have only come up with ones that are made for microphone stands. I KNOW I've seen them on steels, especially lately.
1) The plastic trays, that you place at the end of your steel. In this case, on the left side (tuning keys side)...& attaches to the legs. Has a nice flat surface, to set your picks, bar, smartphones, your "rescue pills," (joking!), etc. It can have a spot for your drink...or not. Doesn't matter too much...the surface is the most important part. The drink space, would be handy as well. I'll insert a photo of the closest one I've found, when I get on my "real computer" later. (Smartphones are great...but are limited sometimes). That's what I'm using as I write this now. It would be PERFECT, except it is made for a vertical "pole." A microphone stand. But, it would be tilted on the leg of a pedal steel. Unless, you can adjust it to be level??
2) I'm looking for a 12 string tone bar. I use a BJS, 10 string bar..& it's excellent. I'm curious as to how a 12 string bar would feel, on a 10 string guitar. More area, especially helpful for the wound strings. I've heard Paul Franklin say, he uses a 12 string bar. The BJS I use, is 7/8" x 3 & 1/3".
3) Sometime down the road, I want an Evans amp!! I tried one out last year...& I thought it had excellent tone. Warm, like a tube amp! FET technology a must!! I don't know the model, but it had 1-12" speaker. Was nice & lightweight, & compact. I prefer 12" speakers...so I would love to own this amp!! I'd be able to buy it, in around 2 months from now...maybe sooner? My heart is SET on this amp....for MANY reasons.
Thank you! _________________ David "DJ" Rupert
